About us
The Tranquil Valleys are an area in the Western Spanish Pyrenees. The area covers about 650 kms2 with a population of under 2.000 people. That’s under 3 people per km2.
Very, very Tranquil Valleys indeed!

TIP & TRICKS
Best time to visit
Like other mountain regions in Europe we have strongly marked seasons. Expect snow and cold conditions from the beginning of December until the end of March. Spring starts in April at the bottom of the valleys and lasts until the end of June up high, when summer gets into full flow – normally lasting until the end of September. Maximum temperatures rarely exceed 33ºC though and the nights are pleasantly temperate, as you would expect. The Spanish Pyrenees are sunny throughout the year, even in the depths of winter.
How to get here
Fly and Drive: Nearest airports are Zaragoza (1h45m), Bilbao (2h45m) Pau (France) (3h) or Barcelona (4h)
Public transport: AVE high speed train to Huesca, bus connection to Jaca. SNCF train to Pau or Bayonne, car rental.
We have campsites, mountain lodges, family run hotels, self-catering apartments and boutique guest houses spread over the 12 villages of the Tranquil Valleys. There are no chain hotels here, no franchises and no fast-food joints - just family-owned businesses. These are real villages, inhabited by real people and every penny you spend goes directly to the local economy and to the people who live here. We are going to do our best for you.
