The Tranquil Valleys are a Natural Park, the second-highest level of protection for natural
spaces in Spain. The undisturbed mountains, pastures and valleys are home to some of Europe’s best flora and fauna. The mighty Bearded Vulture soars through the skies with its 3m wingspan, while there are cliffs where the elusive Wallcreeper can be found.

Meadows full of orchids vie with rocky outcrops home to specialist endemic flora such as the Pyrenean Saxifrage or Ramonda myconi.

More than 130 species of butterflys are to be found here along with dozens of species of edible fungi while the mountains themselves tell a never-ending story of a fascinating geological past.
